BIOGRAPHY

Thuthukani Ndlovu – more popularly known as TK – is a Bloemfontein based multidisciplinary artist who predominantly creates digital work in the form of vector art, digital collages, photo manipulation/illustration and landscape photography. His digital work is available in different print materials from canvas and even wood (to provide an organic feel, textural warmth, and a contemporary edge). He is the founder, creative director, and curator for The Radioactive Blog (a creative consultancy), A significant amount of is work is inspired by his poetry and passion for creative social activism, while he gradually explores opportunities within Immersive Media.

He was born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1994. To date, he has worked with Creativate Digital Arts Festival – under the banner of the Makhanda National Arts Festival, Fakugesi African Digital Innovation Festival, Harare Litfest, Brighton Digital Festival (in partnership with Urban Flo), Free State Digital Art fest, Tumaini Festival and the Vrystaat Arts Festiva (Vrystaat Kunstefees), just to name a few. Thuthukani is also part of The Festival Academy Alumni – after being selected to participate in their Atelier for Young Festival Managers in Johannesburg (South Africa) and Gothenburg (Sweden) in 2018. In 2019, he received the “ Word n Sound Innovation in Poetry award” for one of his blog’s popular initiatives “Giving Poetry Wings” (an exhibition featuring collaborative work by selected artists, in the form of digital art, poetry, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality).
